A closer look
Your ritual, your way
Moisture, radiance or comfort? Start with what matters to you in a face ritual. A serum can sit alongside cleansing and moisturising, following the product directions. You do not have to choose several serums at once. Sometimes it feels better to get to know one, see how it fits with your makeup and cream, and build a routine you enjoy returning to.
The beauty behind the details
Serum and cream do not describe the same experience. The word serum names a product type; it does not by itself tell you an active concentration or how deeply a formula travels. The complete formula shapes the feel: water, oils, humectants and texture-forming ingredients. Bottle shape and drop size are not measures of potency.
In moisturising formulas, glycerin and hyaluronic acid are known as water-binding ingredients. Emollients, including oils and squalane, play a different role in skin feel. Different formula components can work together. Knowing these roles helps make sense of an ingredient list without making every long name intimidating.
